Oh and before I forget.
Happy 16th Birthday Dulcinea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you can learn to drive, which you've been waiting 3 years to start I recall. Too bad we couldn't do something this weekend but next weekend we will. Anyways, here's to knowing you for 15 and a half years. Haha. Love you so much.

GRR. What kinda of idiot tries to organize a big event and not have the tiniest iota of an idea of how to manage or organize their time. The event was supposed to start at THREE in the afternoon and it didn't actually start until 5, which made the ending time 10 instead of 8. What if David HAD called and requested a visit, and what if I had finished editting Denise's essay and wanted to give it back to her this night? Sure, delays are part of life, but a BADMINTON TOURNAMENT, which doesn't take a great deal of brainpower to run, should be on schedule... especially when every other coordinator before today's one managed to keep THEIR tournament running more or less on time. What a fruitcake. Haha, that's the funniest insult, being called a fruitcake. Used more often by Denise than anyone.

I'd really like to be genuine, spontaneous, and me; but you have to help me. You have to help me by holding out your hand, even when that's the last thing I seem to want or need. Each time you are kind and gentle and encouraging, each time you try to understand because you really care, my heart begins to grow wings. Very small wings. Very feeble wings. But wings. With your sensitivity and sympathy and your power of understanding, I can make it. You can breathe life into me. It will not be easy for you. A long conviction of worthlessness builds strong walls. But love is stronger than strong walls, and therein lies my hope. Please try to beat down those walls with firm hands, but with gentle hands, for a child is very sensitive, and I am a child.
Who am I, you may wonder. For I am every man, every woman, every child... every human you meet.

"Now sir, put in my position, can you blame me for feeling the way I feel?"
"No, but I blame you for showing it."
-- Sherlock Holmes (The Problem of Thor Bridge)
Smart man, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Actually, despite the obvious mystery element involved in the Sherlock Holmes series, one of the appealing facts about them are that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle made Holmes an extremely intelligent man, at least in the fields that he needs to be smart in. Sherlock Holmes has knowledge on limited topics, but the topics that he DOES hold knowledge to, he holds all possible knowledge about it, all filed neatly away in his brain, only to be pulled out when needed. Of course, on topics that he choses not to educate himself, he knows nothing about (for example, he was ignorant to the fact that the earth revolves around the sun). He only keeps knowledge of facts that help him in his profession, which essentially can be described as "the most scientific reasoning machine that ever walked the earth" second only to his brother, Mycroft Holmes.
Erhm... yeah, that's my short sketch of the biography of one Sherlock Holmes of the late 1800s. But it all relates back to the quote at the top of this post. Feelings can hardly be monitored and felt only when one wants to feel them (unless again, you are Sherlock Holmes who by some superhuman effort, has a brain SO in tune with scientific reasoning that it blocks out more emotions, and even then he does show them at times). But I digress. No one would blame you for the way you feel for ANYTHING. If you feel that all black cats are evil and should be burned at the stake, fine you can believe that. But, you are to blame should you choose to SHOW it, and for every action, there is a reaction so you would be responsible for any proceeding chain of events that would unfurl as a result of it.

Badminton tourny at Waldorf today! We came in second next to the home team so no banner, but screw that... YOU GUYS ALL ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. T - I salute to you. You are one awesome badminton coach and there's no way any of us would have gotten where we are without you. Thanks for taking my request into consideration.
Arthur Weng - Well it took two years but you won the boys singles. Congratulations... and wash my shirt please... all that sweat kinda grosses me out.
Michael Wu - Only in grade 9 and look how far you went. Good effort man, you'll get better with time.
Tina and Heidi - You both did well in women's singles.
Sandra and Samantha - You girls rocked the girls doubles.
Lucy and Emily - You did well, considering the amount of practice you two got together.
Shyam and Calvin - Shyam, still doing great at mens doubles, even though I'm not your partner this year and Calvin, you got great razor sharp reflexes at the net.
Hisham and Ferran - You two did very well. Hisham, you have no idea how much you've improved this year. I know, I watched you last year remember, haha.
Liview and Eliza - Great effort you two.
Last, but most certainly not least,
Elaine Cheung - We dominated the mixed doubles category! You should be very proud of yourself cause I sure as hell am. Thanks a million; you're the best mixed doubles partner anyone could ever ask for.
Also, thanks to Todd Skitch and all you other badminton players who tried out for the team. Every single one of you contributed something to the team, whether it was just showing up, or helping the team get where it is.

“A bird can't fly with a broken wing, but the bird can still walk.”
-- Yvette Lanier
Tomorrow's the start of Spirit Week. Haha, getting hyped up. A message to all people partaking in the talent show: YOU'RE ALL GONNA DO GREAT. Yes, we all have fears about messing up but don't sweat it. Professionals mess up just as often as we do. It's all about improvisation. That's why we're a BAND. Bands cover each other and that's exactly what we're going to do IF any mistakes come up, which they won't so it's all good. Songs can run on drum beats alone and Todd's of professional drumming calibur so not to worry. Guitar, piano, and vocals can cover for each other as well.
In other news, the weekend was rather boring. Bought a CD by t.A.T.u. Those of you who visit my AA page know my opinion on this group. In a nutshell, they're good but slightly twisted.
Ok, that's it for today.

Um... what to say. Well, there's plenty to say, but what do I want to post. Does it even matter? Pah, anyways, they cancelled the Talent Show practice for the Bands cause apparently, due to our refusal to lower the projection of the music pumping through our amplifiers, complaints have been lodged against the volume of the music we make so yeah, they cancelled it. But hey, it's a rock band... and rock bands don't play quietly. We seem to have more than needed guys on the badminton team this year... this means CUTS. And nobody likes cuts cause they suck and all. We have a few backups though. Pah, I think the total amount of money I've spent on the school team this year's been like $30+ from birds, wear and tear on the strings and grips and such.
Why is my mind so messy?

I'm out... like completly out of quotes... ah well, all good things must come to an end. At least, I think it was a good thing... Don't know how many people actually read them but in any case, talent show stuff is jamming up the week. Pah, I wish I could learn Fast Car by Tracy Chapman faster on the guitar. It's a simpler song, but sounds awesome despite the fact that I thought Tracy Chapman was a man... because of his/her comically low voice but um.. she's a girl so yeah. Still. I only thought I was doing 1 song this year... and now I'm doing 3... maybe 4 depending on whatever. All the bands sound awesome though so we're going to bring down the house.
